What actually is hearing loss?

Someone who is not able to hear as well as someone with normal hearing – hearing thresholds of 20 dB or better in both ears – is suffering from hearing loss. Hearing loss varies with the condition. It may be mild, moderate, severe, or profound, and can affect one ear or both ears. Hearing loss may also lead to difficulty in hearing conversational speech or loud sounds.

Conductive Hearing Loss

It is a condition that affects the outer or middle ear preventing the sound from reaching the inner area of the ear. Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Mixed Hearing Loss
